How to: Adjust the volume control for all devices.
Solution:
In the 'Control Panel' window, double-click the 'Multimedia' icon and click the 'Audio' tab. Select the 'Show volume control on the Taskbar' check box. Click 'OK' and click the speaker on the Taskbar once to adjust master volume.
1) Click the 'Start' button to display the 'Start' menu
2) Select 'Settings' and select 'Control Panel'. (The 'Control Panel' window appears.)

3) Double-click the 'Multimedia' icon. (The 'Multimedia Properties' dialog box appears.)

4) Click the 'Audio' tab. (The 'Audio' tabbed page appears.)
5) Select the 'Show volume control on the Taskbar' check box. (A check mark appears in the check box.)
6) Click 'OK' to close the 'Multimedia Properties' dialog box.
7) Select the 'File' menu and select 'Close' to close the 'Control Panel' window.
8) Double-click the 'Volume' icon on the Taskbar to access the volume controls. (The 'Volume' dialog box appears.)

9) To change the volume sliders displayed in the 'Volume' dialog box:
a) Select the 'Options' menu and select 'Properties'. (The 'Properties' dialog box appears.)
b) In the 'Show the following volume controls' list box, select or clear the desired check boxes.
c) Click 'OK' to close the 'Properties' dialog box.
10) Drag the appropriate volume sliders to the desired level.
11) Select the 'Options' menu and select 'Exit' to close the 'Volume Control' dialog box.
